Introduction

Every autumn, approximately 2,000 new students arrive at the Faculty of Science and Engineering at LiU. Their lives will be filled for a few years with study, friends, parties, and lots more.

The students can expect to receive an education that will give them deep and broad knowledge within various subjects, and that will develop their abilities and skills in engineering, collaboration, communication, entrepreneurship and leadership. The education will also refine their awareness and approach concerning questions of ethics, sustainable development, and issues related to gender and equal opportunities.

At the Faculty of Science and Engineering at LiU it is, therefore, important that the knowledge and opinions of all students are nurtured and developed. Everyone should feel welcome. As a teaching assistant, you can contribute!

It is our hope that this course will give you a foundation for understanding and dealing with situations and events that you may encounter as a teaching assistant.
