The Graduation Ceremony and Gala of the Faculty of Science and Engineering
On the occasion of your graduation The Faculty of Science and Engineering would like to invite you, your family and friends to our annual Graduation Ceremony and Gala at Linköping Konsert och Kongress on 30 November 2019.

Please note that the Graduation ceremony is only open to graduates of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Linköping University. In order to participate you must apply for a diploma no later than 30 August 2019. All graduation requirements must be fulfilled at this time. If you fulfill these requirements your Gala invitation will be sent out in the beginning of November. If you fail to fulfill the graduation requirements in time we will not be able to guarantee you a reservation to the Gala.

The Graduation ceremony is held in Swedish.

- 16.00 Ceremony begins. Family and friends are asked to be in their seats at this time.
- 17.30 Celebratory champagne and social mingle
- 18.30 Gala dinner begins

The Graduation ceremony is free for all participants. For the Gala dinner see below.
It will be possible to purchase a light meal, such as sandwiches, buns, coffee and tea in the restaurant between 15.00 and 15.45. No reservation is necessary.
After the Graduation ceremony, a glass of sparkling wine for a celebratory toast will be available to all guests in the concert hall lobby.
The dinner commences at 18.30 and includes a selection of starters and a main course served with wine, followed by coffee/tea with sweets. The dinner is typically high-spirited and student-like and is led by one or two toastmasters, students from the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Guests will be able to enjoy entertainment, speeches and music in honour of the graduates.
Dinner seats must be reserved for all guests. You will be able to do so in the formal invitation you will receive in November. Each graduate may invite five guests, should you want to invite more they can be placed on a waiting list. As there are a limited number of places for the dinner, seats are allocated according to a first come, first served basis.
Seating at dinner
We always do our best to seat graduates along with their guests, and in company of fellow students from the same study programme. Graduates sit next to their families. If you have particular requests about your seating, please state this on the registration form.
Three small starters (Amadine potato topped with smoked crème fraice and sik caviar, Goat cheese with roasted pine nuts, Smoked salmon tureen on rye bread).
Vegetarian alternative: Amadine potato topped with oat cream and seaweed caviar, Feta cheese made from tofu with roasted pine nuts, Beetroot tureen on rye bread
Fillet of beef served with truffle sauce, spicy potato gratin with butter fried chanterelles, beets, sugar peas and small tomatoes.
Vegetarian alternative: Bean steak made from mung beans and chickpeas served with red pepper sauce and potato cake together with chanterelles, beets, sugar peas and small tomatoes.
Coffee or the with assortments of chocolate.
Cost for dinner (2018) includes 1 glass ecological sparkling wine, 1 glass of wine for the entrée and 1,5 glasses of wine for the main course. Coffee/tea with sweets. Adults: 645 SEK (non-alcohol 575 SEK), children up to 15 years: 200 SEK. Costs for 2019 will be announced in August.
Clothing for graduates: suit for men and a festive dress for women. Should you have a national costume, this is also most appropriate to wear. Same dress code applies for guests.
After the dinner the guests will be treated to music and more entertainment from student bands. The bar will be open until 01.00.
Graduates from the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Linköping University who have achieved their diploma in the past twelve months or earlier.
