Graduation ceremony 25 May 2013
The Institute of Technology at Linköping University has two graduation ceremonies every year to congratulate new graduates that have received their initial/basic study programme degree from the Institute of Technology at Linköping University.
The ceremony and the dinner are held in Linköping at the “Konsert & Kongress” (the Concert Hall), Konsistoriegatan 7.
To qualify for the Graduation Ceremony you need to have your degree reported in LADOK. It takes between six and eight weeks to complete the formalities and issue the certificate so please submit your application in good time. To participate in the Graduation Ceremony in May 2013 you need to apply for your degree no later than 28 February 2013.
If you prefer to join the ceremony next autumn the date will be November 30 2013. More information about that event will be presented in September.
Language
The ceremony will be held in Swedish but the sharing of diplomas for foreign students will be held in English.
Registration
Those who have got a degree from a master’s programme taught in English will be invited by e-mail. You will find the registration form in the left menu on this site. Please send the registration at the latest by 12 May 2013.
The application form for the Ceremony this spring (25 May 2013) will be placed here in the beginning of May. If you want to participate in autumn (30 November 2013) you have to wait until the first of November before you can register for that Ceremony.
Payment
Payment must be made at the latest by 20 May 2013.

Dress code
Clothing for graduates is a suit and suitable dress for women. Long gloves along with the dress are optional for women. National or traditional costume is allowed. Clothing for other guests are the same.
Dinner
Dinner will be held at the restaurant in Linköping Konsert & Kongress. A welcoming drink will be served along with a two course dinner. Dinner is served around 19.00. Be ware that the number of participator for the dinner i limited.
The dinner will be high-spirited and is led by one or two toastmasters (students from the Institute of Technology at Linköping University). During dinner there will be entertaining such as music, students’ farce and speeches performed by students and teachers at the university.
Guests
We strive to allow every graduate to invite an unlimited number of guests. Unfortunately, however, the dinner hall has got a limited number of seats. Seats are therefore given on a first come, first served basis. Therefore we request you to fill in the registration form as soon as possible. Those who register late might only be able to bring a limited number of guests.
Seating at dinner
We do our best to seat graduates along with their guests and in the company of fellow students from the same study programme. Graduates sit next to their families. If you have particular requests about your seating, please state this on the registration form.
Menu
The menu will be introduced in late April.
Price
The price includes a three course dinner, drink for dinner and a welcoming drink.
Adults: 595 SEK
Children and youths up to 15 years: 200 SEK
All Master´s students at Linköping University in their fourth/final semester are welcome to the Farewell Ceremony on 12 June 2013. It is organized by the International Office and the invitation will be sent separately. Please read more about Farewell Ceremony.
